Forget the fact that the new 13 players will have to adjust to the league, that’s a big issue as well but let’s pretend that’s not an issue, all these players NEVER had the chance to get to know eachother. Playing at the highest level of football is different from playing street football. New players under a new manager, a new style of play and yet they have to play matches almost every 3/4 days, that ain’t easy. You’re facing clubs that are ready to fight to get the whole three points, or teams ready to qualify for the next round of a competition(UCL and the likes), they’re not facing teams, where mistakes can be overlooked and not taken seriously(friendly matches). It’s more of taking young boys straight to the battle field right away. That’s more of a suicide! This is reality, not a movie!
The results so far have been poor, extremely poor but sacking Potter right now means, Chelsea will have to start the whole process again. Arsenal stuck with Arteta and the result is there for everyone to see. Potter needs time, at least a full pre-season. To Chelsea fans, forget about this current campaign, let’s see what we can salvage from it, maybe try not to relegate and finish in the top 10. At the end of the day, Chelsea FC will remain Chelsea FC.
