Chelsea FC is believed to have pulled out of the battle to sign Achraf Hakimi as the Inter Milan right-back is now on the verge of joining PSG,according to reports in Italy.

Chelsea saw their initial bid rejected then followed up that bid by offering Marcos Alonso as part of the deal. But Parisians cash offer of €65m has been enough to persuade Inter and the deal will be finalised in the coming days.

The report also claims that Achraf had remained open to the prospect of joining Blues but the defender has now agreed on a five-year deal with Ligue 1 giants worth €10m per season including bonuses.
